SLATE Shuttle Policy

Presidential Flight Restrictions (FAA): Important Travel Notice

  • When the President of the United States travels, the FAA may issue a Presidential Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) that can impact your flight. If a TFR is in effect, your flight will require both Slate Screening and additional TSA screening prior to boarding.

To ensure an on-time departure, all passengers should arrive at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Failure to arrive by this time may result in missing your flight.

In some cases, a TFR may also require changes to your departure time or airport. If any adjustments are needed, we will notify you immediately via the Slate App.

Identification, Security & Privacy

  • Identification: Every journey requires a physical, original government-issued ID. Beginning May 7, 2025, federal law requires a REAL ID–compliant driver’s license or another TSA-approved form of identification, such as a passport, for domestic U.S. flights. Learn more at dhs.gov/real-id.
  • Security Screening: All guests will complete TSA screening prior to boarding. Our team ensures the process is smooth, discreet, and respectful of your time.
  • Plan Your Arrival: Please arrive 45 minutes before departure. This allows you to clear security comfortably and step on board without rush.
  • Pack Thoughtfully: Items restricted from carry-on luggage must be placed in checked baggage. Our crew will gladly assist with any questions before your flight.
    • Privacy & Discretion: To preserve the comfort and exclusivity of the Slate experience, photography or videography of fellow guests is not permitted without their express consent.
    • Valuables & Currency: For security and regulatory reasons, guests may not travel with more than $50,000 in cash (or foreign equivalent). Carrying amounts above this limit may result in denied boarding.

Arrival & Boarding

  • Arrive with Intention: Guests are asked to be at the FBO 45 minutes prior to departure. This ensures a calm and seamless boarding experience.
  • Screening Schedule: For safety and schedule integrity, screening ends 15 minutes prior to departure. Out of respect for all guests, flights cannot be held for late arrivals.
  • Ground Support: A SLATE ground representative will be available to assist; however, on certain flights, a ground representative may not be present.

Baggage

  • Luggage Allowance: Each guest may travel with one piece of luggage weighing up to 50 pounds, sized within 27″ × 21″ × 14″. This will be placed in the aircraft’s luggage compartment for safekeeping.
  • Carry-On: Guests may bring one small carry-on bag (maximum 9″ × 14″ × 22″), which will also be stowed in the luggage compartment.
  • Personal Item: In addition, guests are welcome to bring one small personal item (maximum 9″ × 10″ × 17″) such as a briefcase, handbag, or small backpack.
  • Travel Tip: Please label your belongings, and keep any valuables, medications, or travel essentials with you during boarding for easy access.

Seating

  • Seat Assignment: Seats are assigned by our team prior to departure to ensure balance, comfort, and efficiency during boarding.
  • Exit Rows: For safety reasons, animals and minors may not be seated in exit rows.
  • Accommodations: While specific requests cannot be guaranteed, our Client Services team will always make thoughtful efforts to ensure each guest is comfortable. • Departure: The drop-off adult must remain at the FBO until the aircraft has taken off.
